Customer Submission: Donut Cake

I know there has been a lot of Donut talk around here lately ^___^ I promise you I am almost done with the madness--aside from this post there is one last donut surprise item and I think I will be all done for a while!


Dani, a customer who bought the Doilies & Donuts Printable Party Kit sent over this adorable photo of a donut cake she made. It is too cute--I love how she used items from the kit including some of the collage pieces, reduced them and used them to adorn the cake! This is one adorable paper-crafty cake!

I asked Dani how the heck did she stack all of those donuts so perfectly? In her words, her answer is below:

"Yes…didn’t the cake turn out fun AND it was super easy and FAST. I actually purchased a white Styrofoam cone from Michaels, covered it in Syrian wrap and used toothpicks to hold the donut balls in place. Even with the two kinds of donuts and the diagonal pattern I managed to whip it out in 20 minutes. :o) "

I think this is a great addition to any donut themed party. remember you can use this kit not only for birthdays, but for a breakfast get together, a brunch, showers or any occasion you can think of!
