I have been working on . . . + special announcement.

It's a circus around here--literally!  Lots going on, personally and professionally.   The above shows you some sneaks on the Paper Glitter plate.  I was incredibly inspired by the movie Madagascar 3.  It is all about the Circus and I have had this theme in mind for years to do and I finally got a spark about the vision for it after watching this movie.  So I decided to age up the graphics a bit . I mixed a little kawaii + a little sophisticated line work and gestures + a little vintage.  Can't wait to finish this set!  I will disclose that I don't know when a full party kit will be finished as I am going to go into a bit of a hiatus soon--I will be putting circus money and a train up for sale very soon though.  So here is part 2 of what this post is about…..

As you all know Paper Glitter is a little over 3 years.  It has been an amazing journey but as you all know, I get overwhelmed.  So many things to finish, so many party kits still waiting to get done, so many posts to do and so little time.  I need a way to streamline these ideas, and products to be a better service to you.  So I am ready to announce that I want to take Paper Glitter to the next level, and I have been coding this next step "Paper Glitter 2.0".  I will be changing things quite a bit (and behind the scenes) for the next 4 weeks.  I am going to be posting a lot less than usual as I finalize the details of this next phase of Paper Glitter.  It's overwhelming and it will surely be amazing when it is all done.  After this is complete, I will be looking for support--so I will be an official "collective", as Etsy likes to call it.  I need to set in place a program where I can be helped a bit so I will be announcing "help wanted" messages in the future.  This new help will be put in as a system where I can better serve you, present more ideas and products in a more efficient way and have more time for meaningful posts such as more tips and amazing tutorials.  

I will start by letting you know that I am looking for Miami area art students who are interested in freelancing.  Responsibilities will include; Making paper mock-ups of printables.  I will mail the printed items with instructions and arrange pick up of assembled mockups.  Person(s) interested should have good cutting, assembling skills of simple paper mockups like the ones on the Etsy shop.  If interested, please send resume to paperglitter@gmail.com , subject header: Freelance in Miami.

Es un circo por aquí… literalmente! Están pasando muchas cosas personales y profesionales. Las imágenes que están viendo les dará una idea de lo que está pasando en Pager Glitter. La película ilustrada de Madagascar 3 me inspiró tremendamente. La caricatura se trata todo sobre el Circo y he tenido este tema en mente por muchos años y por fin me llegó la visión de cómo crearlo después de ver la película. Así que decidí crear las gráficas como si fueran antiguas.  Mezclé el estilo Kawaii (curiosito Japonés) + expresiones y líneas sofisticadas + estilo antiguo. Estoy muy emocionada de terminar este grupo de ilustraciones! Tengo que ser honesta, no se cuando podré terminar el kit de fiesta completo ya que tendré que estar ausente temporalmente dentro de poco – pondré el dinero y el tren de circo en venta muy pronto. Aquí está la segunda parte de lo que se trata este anuncio…

Como muchos de ustedes saben, Paper Glitter tiene un poco más de 3 años de estar abierto. Ha sido una experiencia increíble pero a veces me siento abrumada. Tengo tantas cosas por hacer, muchísimos kits por terminar, cosas que quiero poner en el blog y muy poco tiempo para hacerlo todo. Necesito una mejor manera de coordinar todas estas ideas y productos para que leas puedan servir mejor a ustedes. Estoy lista para anunciar que quiero llevar a Paper Glitter  al siguiente nivel y le estoy llamando “Paper Glitter 2.0”.  Cambiaré las cosas bastante (incluyendo detrás del escenario) por los próximas 4 semanas. Estaré escribiendo anuncios mucho menos seguido mientras que finalizo todos los detalles para la próxima fase de Paper Glitter. Es abrumador y de seguro será increíble cuando lo termine. Después de que esté todo completo contrataré ayuda – así seremos oficialmente un “colectivo” como lo llama Etsy.  Necesito desarrollar un programa donde me puedan ayudar así que pronto anunciare “ Se solicita empleado(a)”. Habrá un sistema donde estas personas les podrán ayudar a ustedes con  sus sugerencias y productos en una manera mas eficiente. De estas ideas y sugerencias podré publicar escritos con temas de interés popular como mas tips y tutoriales maravillosos.

Empezaré con decirles que estoy buscando estudiantes de arte en el área de Miami que estén interesados en trabajo freelance (contrato independiente). Algunas de las responsabilidades incluirán: Hacer maquetas de papel de imprimibles. Yo mandaría los artículos imprimidos por correo con las instrucciones y después recogería las maquetas ya montadas. La persona que esté interesada debería tener buenas habilidades para cortar papel y montar maquetas de papel sencillas, como las que tengo en mi tienda de Etsy.
